Kastoria is part of the series on Byzantine monumental painting in Greece and includes the presentation of mosaics and wall-paintings from the 7th to the 15th century. The book includes brief monographs written by specialists in Byzantine art on each monument, plans and drawings, photographic material and an exhaustive analysis and bibliography.
Manolis Chatzidakis is member of the Athens Academy Former Director of the Byzantine Museum and of the Benaki Museum, Athens. Stylianos Pelekanidis is late Professor of Byzantine Archaeology at the University of Thessaloniki.
