[ Greek for advanced foreigners and Greeks from abroad. Cycle C]
by Euaggelia Panagopoulou, Anna Hatzipanagiotidi
This book, the third one of the Greek as a second language series, is intended to be used by students with an advanced knowledge of modern Greek. It aims at furthering comprehension and the skills of using the complex and variable oral and written Modern Greek, as it appears in daily life, in the media, and in scholarly and literary production. At the same time, it attempts to approach modern Greek society through cultural parameters, since language does not only have a utilitarian dimension, but it also has a cultural one. The authors have taught Modern Greek as a second language at the Modern Greek Language School of the AUTh and have worked in particular on developing teaching material for all levels of Modern Greek knowledge. |
