The author leads the reader to the very beginning of the craft of Bobbin Lace in ancient Greece and in the broader Greek world. She describes how it developed and its migration to Italy and Europe after the Fall of Constantinople in 1453. She then goes on to explain its history in Europe and its return to its birthplace with the nuns who settled in Catholic convents in Greece.
