Excellent
If you liked Schindlers List, you will love this story. A touching account of life in a German concentration camp during World War II without Melodrama and from a non-Jewish perspective which is rare.
Kambanellis takes us through the lives of the inmates at Mauthausen right up to after the liberation with a earthy and grounded perspective.
It is this perspective that immediately draws you to the story as you live the events of the characters as they struggle between the special bonds they create during these trying times and the reality of survival self interest.
